Where It Hurts - Pulse Nightclub Shooting
My artwork is titled “Where it hurts” which reflects the emotional and physical pain of victims and survivors. The black hole represents the bullet hole that punctured through the middle of page of the LGBTQ flag colors. Imagining a member of the LGBTQ community hearing the new about a massacre in a gay club and the media broadcasting it, assuming that it was a hate crime against LGBTQ makes me sad. I wanted to represent the pain that victims and survivors may have felt as a symbol of empathy.
