Although Berg preached sexual freedom, his perverse interpretation of sexual liberation translated into oppressive roles for women. A woman’s main function was to offer herself as a sexual object and she existed only to serve the desires and needs of men (within and without the organization). Her own needs were unimportant and therefore unacknowledged. This piece showcases the oppressive view in which women were seen: a paper doll with the illusion of choice. The overlaying text show the harmful ideology that perpetuated the abuse.
