Merry's Voice - Children of God / The Family International
Merry Berg, David Berg’s granddaughter, notoriously questioned her grandfather’s practices and suffered severe emotional and physical abuse because of it. She continued to question his practices despite the abuse and became a hero among COG survivors. In the making of the art, I wanted Merry to be the focus and the drawing of David Berg on the left side to fade into the background, as if forced into submission by Merry’s outcries.
