Last Time - Las Vegas Strip Shooting

My collage piece is titled “Last time” based on an anonymous survivor story from the Las Vegas shooting. This young lady who shared her story with The Washington Post, recalls how she was with her best friend, holding hands with one another and other strangers as they ran for cover, not knowing if they would survive. She recalls suggesting to her friend to call her parents, as she believed it would be the last time her friend would be able to talk to her them. Reading the many survivor stories made me emotional because these survivors were not sure if they would make it; also, reading these stories made me wonder what these survivors may have been thinking as they ran to try to protect themselves.
